The question will always be of causation or correlation. Does owning a Landie make you drink, is owning a Landie simply another expression of similarly destructive choices you have already casually accepted for yourself, or is it simply that people who drink a lot and have senses of humo[u]r about life, in general, are drawn to Landies .

The same condition (sometimes brought on by head trauma or brain lesions) that causes attraction to Land Rovers also may cause substance use, belligerence, and an attraction to some British humor.
